一定要砍了你! 1/13/2007 达喀尔  没想到,今年的达喀尔拉力赛,这么早就有选手离世了.
在从第四赛段起点埃拉西地亚出发后138公里处，南非车手埃尔默突然从其驾驶的摩托车上摔下，随后被直升机紧急送往埃拉西地亚抢救，但不幸在抵达埃拉西地亚机场后去世。
2006年 为了纪念两个不幸在几内亚和塞内加尔赛段去世的孩子，原来安排围绕玫瑰湖的特殊赛段已经被取消。2006达喀尔的结尾很特别，没有了传统的欢声笑语，因为在来到玫瑰湖的途中，卡尔德科特、巴布卡－迪奥罗和穆罕默德先后离开了我们。在通往玫瑰湖的征程上，除了留芳百世的英雄功成名就，最危险的游戏也夺走了许多宝贵的生命。
2005年 佩雷斯在车祸后去世，梅奥尼猝死,两名比利时摩托车手身亡，5岁女孩车轮下丧生。

可是,就是这种敢于挑战自然,挑战危险,挑战极限的信念支持着每一个参加达喀尔的选手和每一个喜爱达喀尔拉力赛的人
或许只有男人才能真正理解她的魅力，我疯狂地爱着赛车，爱着达喀尔，每年的达喀尔都会让我激动不已，比赛的意义已经远远超出了结局本身。佩雷斯，梅奥尼，还有所有葬身大漠的人,他们是真正的男人，真正的能让人砰然心动的男人。他们的灵魂永远属于不羁的沙漠风暴，属于這不屈的沙漠之魂，他们将永远用他们的精神昭示着后人，激励着我们年轻人勇敢的为了自己心中的梦想去追逐，去奋斗。牺牲的勇士们，达喀尔如果有神灵的话，也会把你们最勇敢的灵魂，带到那最神圣圣洁的天堂的，安息吧，所有喜欢达喀尔的人们，都会记得你的名字的，达喀尔的勇士，一路走好
